1. Our commitment
IACOB MIHAI-ALBERTO PFA (Romanian fiscal code (CUI) 54802933), which operates Deutsch-Landia, is committed to making the platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement covers deutsch-landia.ro and deutsch-landia.com, in conformance with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard.
2. Conformance status
Partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
The features below are conformant. Some components — listed in section 4 — are still in progress.
- Skip-to-content link on every page for keyboard users
- Semantic HTML5 structure (header, nav, main, footer) + ARIA landmarks
- Text contrast minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text (WCAG 1.4.3)
- Dark mode for reduced eye strain
- 100% keyboard support — every feature reachable without a mouse
- Screen reader compatible (tested with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
- ARIA labels on icon-only buttons ("edit", "delete", etc.)
- Read-aloud — text-to-speech for German words / phrases (Web Speech API)
- Content scalable to 200% without loss of function (WCAG 1.4.4)
- Honors `prefers-reduced-motion` for users with vestibular sensitivity
- Clear labels on all form fields (auth, profile, contact)
- Descriptive error messages — not color-only (red border + text)
3. Technologies used
Accessibility relies on the following browser technologies: HTML5, WAI-ARIA, CSS3, JavaScript ES2020+. Works correctly on the last 2 major versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
4. Non-accessible content (work in progress)
The following items do not yet meet WCAG 2.2 AA:
- A few Lottie animations on the Rewards page do not yet honor `prefers-reduced-motion` — in progress
- Multiplayer tutorials ("Word Duel", "Grammar Duel") have modal dialogs lacking consistent focus trap — fix planned Q2 2026
- Some CEFR badges on legacy admin pages use 3.8:1 contrast (below the 4.5:1 threshold) — restyling under way
- Stripe payment flow (external iframe) is Stripe-conformant, but not screen-reader-tested with international AT
We are actively addressing these. Progress is tracked publicly at our quarterly audits.
5. Report an accessibility issue
If you encounter accessibility barriers using Deutsch-Landia, please contact us. We reply within 5 business days and prioritise accessibility fixes.
Please include: affected page, browser used, assistive technology (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, Dragon, etc.), and description of the barrier.
6. Enforcement procedure
If you believe we have not adequately addressed your concern, you may file a complaint with the competent national authority in your EU member state. For Romania:
National Consumer Protection Authority (ANPC) — competent authority under Law 232/2022 on accessibility of products and services (EAA transposition)
https://anpc.ro/7. Evaluation methodology
