Word Formation III — Inseparable Prefixes
Inseparable prefixes change verb meaning and never separate. No -ge- in past participle. Systematic meaning changes.
How the rule begins
Untrennbare Präfixe are fused firmly to the verb. They are never separated, and in the Partizip II the ge- is dropped. That is the most important difference from the separable prefixes.
