How to form and use German ordinal numbers and express dates correctly.
How the rule begins
Ordinalzahlen express an order or a position. They answer the questions: „Der Wievielte? / Die Wievielte? / Das Wievielte?“. Unlike Kardinalzahlen (eins, zwei, drei ...), ordinal numbers say which place something occupies: der erste, der zweite, der dritte, and so on.
