Concessive structures express a contradiction between a premise and a conclusion. B2: obwohl (review), adverbial connectors (allerdings, jedoch, dennoch, trotzdem, gleichwohl, nichtsdestotrotz), advanced conjunctions (wenngleich, wiewohl, obschon, auch wenn + Konjunktiv), prepositions (ungeachtet + Genitiv), formal construction mag...auch noch so.
How the rule begins
Konzessive Strukturen express a contrast or a contradiction: a premise is presented as true, but the conclusion does not follow logically from it. The English although, even though, nevertheless, even if correspond to these structures. At B2 level you need to command a wide range of means for expressing concession, from the colloquial to the formal.
